“High For This (Weeknd Cover)” by Ellie Goulding (Prod. By Xaphoon Jones)

I am so impossibly late on this but this cover is too good to be true. For one I am a huge Weeknd fan so any cover of their ish is predestined to be liked in my eyes. Also it’s my girl Ellie Goulding who I am so pumped to hear from, and her voice is so damn pure she could make Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff” sound as beautiful as Adele’s “Someone Like You.” Lastly, every time Xaphoon gets on that master board shit is about to pop off…and when it pops off with reasons 1 and 2 you got something special happening.

Techno Tuesday: Shake Your Rump

First off these visuals of Swedish House Mafia v. Tinie Tempah’s banger “Miami 2 Ibiza” are absolutely ill. Watching that video just makes me wish I was in Ibiza and gets me more excited for round two this spring. I have for you the week’s hottest of techno fire as well as a Xaphoon Jones remix to Mansions on the Moon’s “Glimpse of the Future” off of DJ Benzi and Diplo’s upcoming mixtape Paradise Falls. This track proves to me that Xaphoon’s production skills are as versatile as Julius Pepper’s athletic career.

I’m not even posting this because of Chiddy Bang.

I posted this original track awhile back because I really liked the the electro-indie vocals. Then Xaph goes in and gives the beat his signature, clap-happy makeover and Chiddy does his thing with a nice verse. Why not, right?

Xaphoon you crazy. Dude takes this radio smash and puts his own unique spin on the beat, ish is smoke. Xaphoon’s productions are so fresh and crisp, I’m loving it. If Xaphoon knows how to do one thing, it’s taking tracks to the HNL, love to. Speaking of which I’m still waiting on that studio recording of the remix to 2AM Club’s song “Hurricane” with Chiddy Bang, talk about fire…
