Ye dropped these official visuals for this jam a few days ago and they are insane. Just one massive eyegasm, you just can’t stop watching I swear. Just so much monochromatic parking garage swag it’s stupid. If the release of Cruel Summer means not only more dope tracks but dope visuals like these then I can’t wait…Kanye is clearly hungry and I look forward to watching him eat.

Ye’ puts on for his city by rallying up his team to putt some GOOD Music flavor on Chicago rapper’s 16 year-old track “I Don’t Like” and the track goes pretty dang hard. I don’t hate it and Big Sean has been absolutely killing it on this GOOD Music collabs like it’s his job recently…love to.

Following Drizzy Pusha goes in on Jai Paul’s “BTSTU” and does it pretty nice. Although this is supposed diss track, it’s tough to hear the tension on this cool beat. Check out Miss Info on the background behind the beef. Didn’t know that there was potential beef between GOOD Music and Young Money…that ish cray.

One of the most anticipated tracks off of Pusha T’s Fear of God EP, Pusha brings in some big guns that makes this track hit hard. Both Ye’ and Jeezy do their thing and make this track bump…love to.

The GOOD Music camp has been blowing up the scene with some fire tracks the past couple of days. Big Sean has been dropping tracks off his HIGHLY anticipated Finally Famous, due out June 28th and from what I have heard it is going to be unreal. “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay,” “High,” and “100 Bars” could all be potential singles because they are all straight bangers. All of these tracks also have unreal help including hilarious Kanye and an unexpected Roscoe Dash on “Marvin Gaye,” Wiz Khalifa and Chiddy Bang on “High,” and Richard Ross and Pusha on “100 Bars.” These tracks are all star studded and are ready to blow up. Also Kanye dropped the final version of his track “Mama’s Boyfriend” which was a suspected from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but is a great track nonetheless and has got a nice old school Kanye feel to it. The last track is a dope track off of GOOD Music member CyHi The Prince’s new mixtape Royal Flush 2 featuring Big Sean and produced by Kanye and No I.D. which is just the icing on the cake for this GOOD Music set.

GOOD Music by Fresh On Campus

Dope Miguel track that is only made better by a nice verse from Pusha. This is just one feel-good track with Miguel’s vocals sounding like an angel. Some fire R&B complemented by some lines by one of GOOD Music’s finest? Love to.

This long awaited tape is out and Pusha really shows us the kind of fire he is bringing to G.O.O.D. Music. Pusha T showcases his lyrical prowess with some sick production by the likes of his old friends The Neptunes and Tha Bizness and collabs such as 50 Cent, Kanye West, Ab Liva and Rick Ross. Back in the day I was a big fan of The Clipse and thought that they were just a group before their time. I hope Pusha T’s solo career with G.O.O.D. Music showcases to the world that it is now his time…and that the drums from “Grindin” were way too underrated.

Yet the Professor and I have done our best to attack this overbearing and impossible task of narrowing our favorite songs down and prioritzing them but we have done it and I hope you enjoy.

10. “All I Want Is You” by Miguel ft. J Cole – As I have said I am a sucker for great R & B and this is exactly the reason I have started my list with this jam. I love this low key beat with the background guitar perfectly accompanied by Miguel’s beautiful and almost haunting vocals. J. Cole does a great job with the verses and has had a monster 2010 rising up from the underground with jams like “Higher,” and his highly acclaimed mixtape, Friday Night Lights as well as being the first rapper to sign with Jay Z’s Roc Nation. The combination of Miguel’s great vocals and J. Cole’s lyricism makes this track a great starting point for my top 10.

9. “No Hands” by Waka Flocka Flame ft. Wale and Roscoe Dash- What can I say about this jam. Although I despise Waka Flocka Flame and often joke that he is one of the reasons for the “death of Hip-Hop,” for literally trying to murder beats by making shooting noises on his verses instead of actually constructing words and trying to rhyme them, I have to respect his success in 2010. This jam is a banger, catchy as hell and worthy to be in the top 10.

8. “I’m Single” by Lil Wayne- Although Rebirth was not a high point for Weezy in 2010, this was my favorite track off the album with “Drop the World” being a pretty close second. First off, the beat is trippy as hell and makes you feel like you are on sizzurp yourself. Secondly and probably most importantly, this was one rare Wayne track where, in the style of Kid Cudi and Kanye in his past two albums, he actually has a focused subject matter about his pains and escapes regarding relationships and tells a dark but convincing story. This song has definitely stuck with me and is not only one of my favorites of this year but also one of the most underrated as well.

7. “Shut It Down” by Drake ft. The Dream- I very much enjoyed Drizzy’s Thank Me Later this year, although I felt that it was not as strong as his mixtape material. I have to say that “Shut It Down” is tied for my favorite track with “Miss Me” but I have decided to choose “Shut It Down” in my list because it is easily the best R & B song of the year. As I have said since the beginning of Drizzy’s career, he is not only talented at writing witty punch lines, but is just as talented maybe even more so at making a mean R & B jam. When Drake puts on that crooning voice and starts to sing along with a smooth R & B beat, it is immediately DIIYD time for the ladies. But when you put Drizzy with R & B killa The Dream? Game over.

6. “Irish Celebration” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis- This song is on my list primarily because every time I hear it I can’t help but take pride in my Irish heritage and get an urge to take a pint of Guinness to the face. With a great and unique production of meshing a traditonal irish drinking song and hip-hop sound with Macklemore telling a great story, this jam is a must that definitely one that went under the radar this year…except maybe on St. Patty’s.

5. “Do Ya Like” by Childish Gambino- For those who downloaded Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover’s mixtape Culdesac this summer, I hope you came across this absolute jam. Not only is the production blazing with the bass and the great Adele sample, but I was totally blown away by his lyrical skills and his unbelievable punch lines. After I heard his line, “Girl I’m in love with you, but this is not tennis/Baby stay stacked like bad at Tetris” he really did have me convinced that he was “Weezy but Geeky.” Love this jam and arguably the most underrated track I have heard all year.

4. “Letting Go (Dutty Love)” by Sean Kingston ft. Nicki Minaj – Definition of a party banger right here. I don’t know if it because it reminds me of my experience in Barcelona this summer and the unbelieveable time I had there and the great friendships I made or if it is because this beat is addictive as hell, but I love this song. Yeah it might be mainstream, yeah it might be Sean Kingston, who cares? This song is too feel-good and makes you want to move too much to be denied…love to.

3. “Runaway” by Kanye West ft. Pusha T – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was one of the best albums of the year and although it has gotten a crazy amount of praise already, ‘Ye deserves credit where credit is due for this incredible album. Taking 808′s and Heartbreak to the HNL, Kanye’s innovative, creative and beautiful project pushed some serious boundaries in the hip-hop genre. I have some serious and the upmost respect and admiration for Mr. West, even though he did my girlfriend Ms. Swift wrong last year. Almost any song on the album could be on the list for best songs of the year but “Runaway” is probably my favorite and is rightfully high on my list.

2. “All Along” by Kid Cudi – The best and my favorite album of the year from my favorite artist. I wish I could put every song on Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager on this list, but unfortunately I couldn’t and have chosen “All Along” as arguably my favorite track from the album. It is hard to put my reasons for loving Cudi so much in words but what I will say is that “All Along” is so great because it provides a universal appeal to the inside of one’s thoughts and emotions. Cudi has prided himself as being “different” in the hip-hop genre and has brilliantly utilized his being different into creating music that is so creative, unique and relatable, that is has essentially become something more than the hip-hop genre. He has arguably created a new genre within hip hop in his ability to help people with his dark and troubling subject matters and topics that can appeal and are relatable to almost anyone, making the listener feel like he knows them personally. Cudi’s music is not just a way for him to vent and whine about his feelings but is something way bigger than himself and that is why I love his music of Kid Cudi and is why he is on my list.

1. “Hold Yuh (Fast Food Megamix)” by Gyptian ft. Nicki Minaj and Ricky Blaze- I can’t say enough about my favorite song of the year. Why is that the most simple beat I have ever heard is the best of the year? How come I wasn’t able to come up with that? The beat is so simple yet the most addicting of the year and was the go-to jam in all party situations. I also have to mention the fact that this is one of the first times I have heard Nicki Minaj, whose verse is dope as hell with her sassy swagger. The most important factor for me when I am determining whether or not I like is a song is the way it makes me feel. Thus, because this track is the most feel-good track of the year, it is therefore my favorite.

GOOD Music freestyling? Love to. Tonight at the BET Hip Hop Awards, Kanye, Big Sean, Common, Pusha-T, and CyHi Da Prince went in in a cypher format and it is pretty sick. Kanye’s Big Sean, and Pusha-T’s verses are exceptionally fire but the thing is definitely worth checking out. Love it that the new heavyweights in a game that has changed drastically can still bring it back and show that they can run with that classic ish too.

Last week’s G.O.O.D. Friday drop gets some extended verses. The G.O.O.D. Friday releases have been kinda hit or miss so far, despite all of the big names Kanye was able to recruit for them. But this one is a hit for sure.

Here’s the CD quality version and artwork for the joint Kanye debuted last week at the VMAs. The vocals are a lot clearer on this and Pusha T verse especially sounds dope.

Kanye ironically suggests toasts for douchbags, assholes, scumbags and jerkoffs. Even if he is making an effort to change his image, talking about himself and how he needs to (or has?) changed is still talking about himself. I miss the “Jesus Walks” and “Diamonds from Sierra” when Kanye used his talent and creativity to make epic tracks with good subject material.
