“Steppin’ Up (Nacey Remix)” by M.I.A.
Normally I can’t stand M.I.A. and the disorganized noise she tries to push as legitimate music. But give those noises to a good DJ and they can be reshuffled into a pretty nice track.
PS: Apparently Soundcloud is redoing their whole system and so some tracks have been going off-line during the transition. If this issues start to be more long-term then I’ll figure out another way to bring you reliable streaming and downloading. Apologies for the inconvenience.

"Boyz" by M.I.A. featuring Akon and Rock City
I’m still trying to figure out exactly what qualities it takes for a song to feel like a solid spring weather jam. Everyone knows what kind of music I’m talking about right?
Like every year when the birds start chirping and the shorts and sun dresses start coming out on campus there is this special sort of feel-good music that comes out that really captures that essence and bottles it up. Like, I’m sure you have a song where every time it comes on you’re like “OMG, spring break 2007!” or something like that. It’s usually something that’s memorable, catchy and up-beat.
But I digress. Just like her previous hit single “Paper Planes” M.I.A. comes up with another catchy spring jam that’ll be playing on college quads across the nation in no time.
