“High For This (Weeknd Cover)” by Ellie Goulding (Prod. By Xaphoon Jones)

I am so impossibly late on this but this cover is too good to be true. For one I am a huge Weeknd fan so any cover of their ish is predestined to be liked in my eyes. Also it’s my girl Ellie Goulding who I am so pumped to hear from, and her voice is so damn pure she could make Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff” sound as beautiful as Adele’s “Someone Like You.” Lastly, every time Xaphoon gets on that master board shit is about to pop off…and when it pops off with reasons 1 and 2 you got something special happening.

“Lights (Bassnectar Remix)” by Ellie Goulding

Oh damn here is the latest of the dubstep remixes of Ms. Goulding courtesy of the bassiest of nectars, and it is fire. I swear this girl has the best voice for techno/electro/house/dubstep tracks I have heard. I would love her to add vocals to a Tiesto, Tim Berg, or Swedish House Mafia track… she would straight kill it.

If you’re getting sick of Ellie Goulding dubstep remixes, then I don’t know what to tell you. You probably have some sort of good-music disease that you should get checked out.

Here’s another dope rework that I spotted over at Remix The Video. The track starts out fairly standard, but the drop and chorus at 0:45 are what makes it stand out for me.

Does anyone know of any other good dubstep Ellie reworks out there?

We Got You Covered

As I have said before I am a sucker for acoustic covers, so when I saw The Kollection’s Top 10 Covers of 2010, I was inspired to drop some covers on you guys I particularly thought were dope. If you enjoy well done covers then you will definitely be a fan of these guys so check em’ out.

I kinda feel like Ellie’s sweet vocals couldn’t quite keep up with the energy of the original. That being said, it is a much more mellow (romantic?) spin on Rihanna’s hit.

Ellie Goulding recently overtook Miley Cyrus as my favorite celebrity crush, and now I don’t think I could ever go back.

Normally, this isn’t even the type of music I like, but I’m pretty sure I could listen to a track of Ellie brushing her teeth and I’d still love it. She recorded this sweet Elton John cover just for me, but I decided to share it with you all. Music video here (that picture was too cute not to post).

“Starry Eyed (Jakwob Remix)” by Ellie Goulding

This track adds further evidence to my theory that Ellie Goulding can do no wrong.

Her sweet voice juxtaposed with some grimy dubstep makes a winner every time. Shouts to JT the Bigga Figga.

PS: Sorry for the recent soundcloud issues. It always takes a minute or two to process the tracks but I know some of the recent ones have been taking a lot longer. I’m bugging them about it.
