“Daze of Thunder” by Curren$y

Fresh on Campus

Smooth freestyle from spitta.

Not sure how I feel about Curren$y. He kinda seems like a poor man’s Wiz Khalifa. But he’s definitely got talent so I’ll try to keep an open mind…

“4 Hours 20 Minutes (Ride to H-Town)” by Curren$y & Killa Keyleon [Video]

Pretty typical rap video, but I’m a sucker for depictions of fancy cars and lavish lifestyles, especially when Curren$y is rapping about em.

Track is older, but available below. Apparently it also goes by the name “Day After”. Shouts to CK for the tip.

“Super High (Sativa Remix)” by Rick Ross, Curren$y, Ne-Yo & Wiz Khalifa

Fresh on Campus

I was just as surprised by the assortment of artists on this song as you probably are. But their different sounds intertwine like smoke clouds in the air to make a nice head-nodding joint.

“Walk with These” by Sam Adams & Curren$y

What do you get when you mix one of XXL Magazine’s Top 10 Freshman in Hip-Hop (2010) with an overnight celebrity from Cambridge, Mass? This joint. Sammy Adams steps outside his traditional up-beat party music to go head-to-head with a lyrical titan.

UPDATE: XXL magazine’s website is impossible to navigate, but I think Curren$y may in fact have been a ‘Top Freshman’ for ’09, not ’10. Thanks to Falvey from CG & the DBs for the tip.
