“Friday Night Lights” by J.Cole [Mixtape]
People keep saying J.Cole is the next big thing. I’m only half way through the tape right now, but I’d say that sounds about right.
The old-school production gives Jermaine plenty of room to flex his lyrical muscles and dance around with his flow — and he takes full advantage of it. Mix those talents with a few features from the likes of Drake and Wale, and Friday Night Lights is easily one of the strongest mixtapes I’ve heard this year.
