So I was sitting at my computer, minding my own business, about to start building some dope playlists for the new section of our site that we’re working on. When all of a sudden I get an email from DJ Moneybags telling me about his new mixtape, “College Years: Beer Pong Edition”. Well, cross that off the to-do list.
DJ Moneybags has compiled the 40 hottest songs and faded them together into one mixtape that is sure to set your weekend festivities off right. It’s not a mash-up tape, its a playlist with the songs all blended together. You don’t want this, you need it.

I just got hip to Atmosphere this past summer and I’m really surprised I took me that long to find these guys. Wikipedia says:
Active in various forms since 1993, they are one of the most commercially successful and long-lived independent hip hop artists.
Reppin the midwest, these guys have a real chill sound that’s perfect for a long road trip or a lazy Sunday.

New Soundcloud Players?? Vote…
I can’t decide if I like these new soundcloud players or not. Like on the one hand, they look really cool with the waveform image thing, but they’re not as flexible as the old player. Plus they stop playing after one track instead of playing through all of the tracks. Did people liked how the old players played through all the tracks or was it annoying to have to pause it after a song?
These new players aren’t as streamlined and the download button is a little harder to find (it’s the arrow pointing down on the far right side…). Basically, I switched cause I thought they’d be cooler and they’d save us a ton of money (which they will), but now I’m not so sure about the cooler part.
‘Thumbs up’ if you like the new players with their waveform images and ‘thumbs down’ if you want the old ones back. Example of the new player below.

Chiddy Bang Premieres “The Good Life” in NYC [Video]
I totally forgot we had this video lying around. At their show in NYC last week, Chiddy and Xaphoon performed some brand new material for the crowd.
Because of some licensing issues with the samples they’ve used, we learned that their upcoming album has been pushed back until sometime in 2011. However, to keep the fans happy, the boys have decided to release an eight-track mini-album called “The Preview” which drops Oct. 11 in the UK and Oct. 12 in the US.
This track, produced by Pharrell, is set to be on that mini-album.

There has been a lot of music floating around from Wiz lately. Most of it was older, previously-unreleased stuff from Wiz’s early days that wasn’t bad, but wasn’t really what I’d want to post. This however, I’m more than happy to post.
He released this through his twitter at midnight calling it his new single. No word whether if it’s off an upcoming tape or album.
